Organising a highly successful charity event for 300 guests over two decades ago led me into professional events management.
Since that time I have organised many charity events and held office on charity fundraising committees, so I can see the picture from the inside.
I understand that a charity event must meet two main objectives. It must be fun for all and it must raise money.
I have also organised just as many corporate events from large formal presentations with speakers and sales promotion events to Awards Dinners, Car Launches, Gallery Openings, Gala Dinners through to informal ‘meet and greet’ gatherings.
